The Dublin Laptop Orchestra was founded by Alex Dowling and Dan Trueman at the start of 2011. Founding members are Rachel Ní Chuinn, David Collier and Jenn Kirby. We make music with lots of laptops, hands, golf controllers, a wireless router, and anyone that plays.. anything. Our aim is to bring some theatricality and 'physical presence' into electronic music performance. Folk music is a particular focus of ours and we look for ways to collaborate with traditional musicians.. always good to blend the old with the new. We got the concept of a 'lork' (that's the word) from here and use stuff like this and this.
